Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility: The tournament is for TEXO Members/Employees and their guests of the construction industry. TEXO members in good standing with dues paid by March 15, 2011 may be invoiced. Non-member participants must pay all teams/sponsorships in advance. 2. A maximum of two people per boat. One person can constitute a team. No fishing guides allowed. 3. You may not fish with a guide on Lake Fork for a period of one month prior to the tournament date. No pre-fishing from Monday, March 28 to Thursday, March 31, 2011. 4. Fishing will be done on Lake Fork only. 5. Friday, April 1st is considered a practice day. 6. All federal, state and local laws must be observed. FYI: Open container laws are also enforced in boats. 7. All entry fees must be paid before fishing. Sign-in with Tournament Officials no later than 9:00 a.m. on April 2nd, 2011. We ask that professional fishing guides not enter the tournament 8. NO REFUNDS AFTER March 28, 2011. 9. Big Bass Pot is $20.00 per team. CASH ONLY, paid before or during check –in. 10. All Tournament Officials will be at the staging location. If you have a problem or question regarding the Tournament Rules you MUST contact a Tournament Official. 11. You must be checked in, have your live wells checked and tag initialed at Oak Ridge Marina (unless other live well check areas are designated) by a Tournament Official BEFORE YOU BEGIN FISHING, no later than 9:00 a.m. April 2nd, 2011 at Oak Ridge Marina only. (Check in Friday, April 1st, 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday April 2nd, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) 12. Trailering is permitted after check in. 13. All participating teams are to place identification ribbon around motor or trolling motor. 14. Fishing Hours 6:30 a.m. or safe light to 3:00 p.m. One team member must be in weigh-in line by 3:00 p.m. or the team will be disqualified. Weigh-in only at Oak Ridge Marina. 15. Weigh-In: Tournament Officials will be available to weigh-in at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The weigh-in line will close at 3:00 p.m. After weigh-in, it is requested all live fish be released in the lake unless you have ONE trophy quality fish. Only one bass over 24” allowed per day. 16. All fish must be below 16” or above 24” to meet Lake Slot regulations. Fish between 16” - 24” will be disqualified. 17. All ties will be determined by a coin flip. All decisions made by the Tournament Committee will be final. Official time will be kept by the Tournament Director. 18. Maximum quantity of fish allowed at weigh-in will be (5) fish per team. 19. Teams weighing in fish should have both team members present. 20. No white gilled or frozen fish will be weighed. If you have a fish that is close to death at time of weigh in alert an official. There is a one-pound (1 lb.) penalty for every dead fish weighed in including Big Bass. 21. All fish must be caught by artificial bait by casting. Trolling is not allowed. 22. Life jackets should be worn while big motor is in operation; kill switch (if applicable) should be connected to jacket. 23. The tournament will be held regardless of weather. 24. Sponsorship is required to win Team Trophy in addition to entry fees, paid before check in. 25. Team Trophy will be given to the qualified team with the most weight. 26. All fishermen will have their name automatically entered for one Door Prize at check-in. When cash or door prizes are awarded (during dinner), person must be present to win. Cash prize winners are not eligible for door prizes. NO Door Prize Tickets will be issued to non-fishermen attending the dinner only. 27. Dinner will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. You MUST be a fisherman or have paid for dinner in order to be served.
In registering for this tournament, I hereby waive and release all other contestants, the host, sponsors, and Tournament Officials from all claims of injury and/or damage incurred in connection with this tournament. I further understand and agree that the Tournament Director reserves the right to refund this entry fee, if he/she chooses for any reason not to accept my application. I have read the rules and agree to abide by them.
