For many years we have promoted the need to get individuals from our association and industry engaged into running for political office at the State and local level. In 2010 we were successful as TEXO Contractor member Paul Workman was elected to the Texas House of Representatives for District 47. This election cycle we have TEXO member Jeff Leach who has stepped up to run for the Texas House of Representatives seat in District 67. Both of these gentlemen are committed to fighting for the protection of the free enterprise systems and against any intrusive legislation that would be considered detrimental to our industry. In the past we stood up, got engaged and we were successful. We ask that you continue to stand up once again by attending our February 7th reception and show your support as we work to strengthen our voice on the floor of the Texas Legislature. Pledges or contributions of support to the campaigns are encouraged and will be accepted.
