Training Unit (TU) – A location that is registered under an Accredited Training Sponsor (ATS) to deliver NCCER training. Overseen by the ATS (i.e. TEXO) to ensure quality and adherence to NCCER Accreditation Guidelines, a Training Unit (TU) delivers NCCER training in a different location than the ATS.
NCCER offers curricula in over 70 craft areas and is competency-based with measurable objectives. Subject matter experts assist in the development of curricula to ensure NCCER programs meet or exceed current industry standards. TUs are nationally recognized industry credentials, are approved by TEA, and can provide college credit to students.
Please fill out the form below if your school is interested in becoming a NCCER Training Unit (TU).
